The Merkel Cell Cancer Web site was developed in response of the lack of information of this type of Cancer and any form of Database to record the cases in South Africa.

It is our mission to initiate a awareness campaign in order to educate everybody of all types of skin Cancer. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to involve other stake holders and in working in conjunction with Patients and the Oncology society in South Africa .

We intend to use the media at large to create an awareness to skin cancers and make the information available to all grass roots organizations to ensure it filters down to the people of South Africa
